I posted a similar question here a little while back, and received a prompt response; according to the helpful individual (forgot who - sorry!), the landlord is not required to provide appliances. If the residence is already equipped, the landlord is required to keep the existing ones in good repair, or they must be replaced.
: I am currently looking to move into an apartment in Passaic County, NJ. The tenants that are there now purchased the stove that is in the apartment and are taking it with them when they move out in April. Does the landlord have to supply the apartment with a working stove? Any info would be appreciated.
: Thank You.
