My apartment smelled like gas so I called Con Ed. They found 3 gas leaks in my apartment! My landlord yelled at me and said I shouldn't have called and I should have just left him a note. Con Ed shut off gas to the whole building. I can't cook now, and my landlord says it won't be fixed for a month? What are my rights? Can I break my lease (and get my security deposit back?)
