I'm fighting an MCI rent increase in my building, and need to know if my landlord has applied for and received a j-51 tax abatement, which would reduce or eliminate the increase. My tenants' association has filed a PAR, and I've filed a number of Freedom of Information act papers with DHCR. Do they know who has filed for tax abatement? I know he has filed for them in the past on other matters...
Please help, time is running out for us. We need to know which agency to contact.
