sro's

Posted by anonymous- too scared to say! on February 18, 2000 at 12:26:08:

I think that my building is an SRO that is not registered with the Department of Housing. My lanlord is in the process of selling it and I want to make sure that the building is listed correctly so that I am protected. Also, is my room stabalized? Help! I need to know quickly. I am a New York City resident; my building was built pre-1938 but is listed as a type "B" multiple dwelling - 2 family with seven furnished rooms at the building department. I do not have a written lease.
