Well thats your best bet , use next months security for the rent and
move...but wait a minute... get one or two of those disposable
cameras....and take a lot of pictures of the water leak your ceiling,
the pool the roof......and make extra copies just in case the jerk
wants to take you to court after you vacate, you have the proof!

: I am renting a house in Suffolk County, Brookhaven. I have had a leaking roof for over six months. I am constantly bringing this to my landlors attention but he keeps blowing it off. He once threw a tarp over the roof and secured it with bricks placed on the tarp but that didn't last very long. The water damage is so bad now that the drywall on the wall is buckling and the ceiling is starting to crack. I am moving in a month but I want to withold the last months rent because of his lack of attention to the roof. Wait, theres more. He has a pool in the back that he refused to drain so it is a huge fly attracter. Please help!
