This may seem like a no brainer but, I am renting an apartment on a yearly basis. My yearly lease renewal is two months overdue. To date there have been no problems here I am very happy. The first two years that I lived here the managing agent kept on me to buy the apartment but I was not sure if I would be happy here. Also, I really cannot afford the downpayment nor do I even know how to go about buying a co-op. Question? Since I do not think I can afford to buy it should I just call the managing agent to send me the renewal or is it in my best interest not to have a lease?
