What would a "general prohibition" constitute? Does it have to say specifically NO WASHING MACHINES OR DRYERS? I believe my lease states and only states -- and I'll have to check -- no alterations to the apartment for such things as washers and dryers. The washer/dryer I want would not require any alterations. I don't believe my lease ever states simply NO WASHERS OR DRYERS. This is why I'm asking... Is a hook-up to the sink type of washer considered an alteration?

Anyone out there have any real knowledge about this? Help!
