civil judgement

Posted by michelle b on January 29, 2000 at 13:39:17:

I have gotten a judgement put against me in a maryland court about a lease that i broke. i was unable to go to court because i had moved out of state and they wouldn't grant a postponement. I have no money and own no property besides a car.The judgement is for $3200.00 which i do not have. What will happen to me if i can't pay. It says they can file for a lien on any real property owned by me. This was my first apartment at age 18. Will this ruin my credit forever? I would appreciate any advise you might have.
