: If i'm subleasing a rent-stabalized apartment, can i require a deposit more than one-month, or (equivalently), that the tenant pay the first (and only) three months in advance?
: Thanks

I don't know: seems to me there is a law that the security on rent stabilized can only be one month. I don't know if that is for sub-leases too. Have you SEARCHed on TenantNet? Look up Security Deposit in the Attorney Generals Tenant Guide (which names the law), then look up the law itself.
