How to bypass the bloodsucking realtors?

Posted by Adam on January 17, 2000 at 22:44:41:

Hi everyone,
I would like to look for a new apartment somewhere in Queens but I do not want to pay a realtor to get it for me. I'm wondering if any of you can direct
me towards any resources where I would be able to negotiate these things with the actual source (landlords, owners, etc) instead of paying a month's
rent to some looser that does nothing except pick up a phone and dial a number or two. These leeches seem to have a monopoly on the rent situation
around here but that I doesn't mean that we renters have to settle for it. Any ideas from the crowd?

Thanks :)

Adam
