Note on the Tenants Organizing Manual

The Lenox Hill Tenants Organizing Manual was written in 1986 and contains a wealth of information and tips in organizing a building tenants into an effective Tenants Organization.

Even so, the reader should keep in mind that much of the information inside is outdated -- mostly agency addresses and phone numbers.

The reader should also be mindful that certain strategies that worked in years past may not be as effective in the mid-1990's. Various city and state government agencies have been gutted of resources and have actually developed policies detrimental to tenants.
