DHCR Petition for Administrative Review (PAR) Decisions

In 1994, under pressure from tenant advocates, DHCR released approximately 6,000 PAR decisions. After Governor Pataki took office in 1995, DHCR refused to release other decisions in bulk. These decisions generally cover the 1990-1994 period and in many cases do not reflect current law or DHCR practice. The reader is cautioned to be aware of changes to the Rent Stabilization Law, the Rent Stabilization Code and DHCR practice since 1994. Also this database does not include all decisions prior to 1994 as DHCR intentionally withheld many decisions for unknown reasons.

          ORDER AND OPINION TERMINATING PETITION FOR ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW


          On January 12, 1990, the above-named tenant filed a petition  for
          administrative review of an order issued on  December  14,  1989,
          by the Rent Administrator concerning the  housing  accommodations
          known as 80 Varick Street, New York, New York, Apartment No.  8E,
          wherein the Administrator terminated the proceeding  because  the
          tenant had failed to submit information necessary to process  the
          tenant's overcharge complaint.

          Subsequently, by letter submitted March  16,  1992,  the  tenant,
          through  his  attorney,  advised  the  Division  of  Housing  and
          Community Renewal of his desire to withdraw his complaint in this 
          action.

          Based upon the tenant's request to  withdraw,  this  petition  is
          terminated.

          THEREFORE, pursuant to the Rent Stabilization Law  and  Code,  it
          is

          ORDERED, that this Administrative Review Docket No. EA 410045  RT
          be, and the same hereby is, terminated.
